General Information & Rules

Enrolment form  Please complete an enrolment form for each child attending. This will also enable us to contact you in the event of emergency or class cancellation.

Fees  Fees are paid half-termly in advance and are due the first week of each half-term. Refunds or discounts will be not be given for any missed classes. Fees that are paid during the week in which they are due will receive a 10% discount. If fees are not received within 7 days of the due date, your child's place in the school will be lost.

Absence  If your child is not able to attend class for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible. It is important to be kept informed especially when we are rehearsing groups for concerts. If a child misses a class for 2 consecutive weeks and no valid reason has been given, the child's place may be given to someone else on the waiting list.

Uniform & Hair  The correct uniform must be worn for all classes and a uniform list is available. Most items can be ordered from the school or may be purchased at any dance shop. Hair must be neat and tied securely off the face and neck for all classes and must be in bun for ballet classes. Jewellery and watches are not to be worn.

Concerts/performances  As the emphasis on all classes is ‘performance’, the aim is to involve all children in various concerts & performances throughout the year. Therefore, when a performance date has been fixed, classes will serve as rehearsals for these appearances. Where extra rehearsals are needed, you will be advised as early as possible.

When choreography is started for a concert group, a commitment by the students is then required and expected. It is very inconvenient to both teacher and other pupils when one student decides to leave or regularly miss classes.

Costumes  Costumes will be required for all concerts and performances which must be bought or, in some cases, hired from the school. We will advise you as early as possible of the requirements and costs for each concert. We would advise you to make regular payments throughout the year towards your child’s costume bills. Please ask for a Costume Fund Savings Card.

Leaving the school  If, for some reason, your child no longer wishes to attend classes, half a term’s notice must be given in writing. Otherwise, you will be liable to pay half a term’s fees.
