Pupil Info

Fees & Payments

  • Class fees can be paid either by monthly Direct Debit or half-termly (6 weeks) in advance.  Invoices for half-termly payments are emailed before the start of term and payments are due by the end of the 1st week of term.  Direct Debits are paid on the 1st of each month in advance from September to June (10 months).
  • If half-termly fees are not received within 7 days of the due date or your Direct Debit payment fails and we do not receive the payment by another method within 7 days, your child’s place in the school may be lost.
  • Our preferred method of payment is Direct Debit or bank transfer but we also accept cash (for amounts £30 or less only), and cheque (made payable to “The Stage Factory”).
  • Refunds will not be given for missed classes, regardless of the reason.

Uniform & Hair

  • The correct uniform must be worn for all classes once you have been a pupil for 2 weeks. Please see our uniform list.
  • Jewellery and watches are not be worn during classes and any piercings that cannot be removed must be covered with a plaster.
  • Hair must be neat and tied securely off the face and neck for all classes and must be in a neat bun, or similar classical style, for ballet classes.  Red or black hairbands may be worn if required or Stage Factory hair accessories, available at the desk.
  • No outdoor footwear is allowed in the Memorial Hall to protect our vinyl dance flooring.
  • Children should not travel to and from classes in their dance shoes for 2 reasons – 1. to protect the floor in both halls from damage due to stones, dirt, etc on the bottom of shoes; and 2. to preserve the longevity of their dance shoes.

Attendance & Punctuality

  • If your child is to miss any classes or rehearsals for holidays, school activities, etc, please let us know in advance so that we can record it on our system.
  • If your child is sick or is unable to attend at the last minute, please inform us by sending a text to 07913 384766.
  • Children should be ready to dance in their uniform and relevant footwear at their class start times. Punctuality is very important and lateness can result in a child getting behind with their classwork or not being properly warmed-up.

The Premises – St Johns Centre

  • Please ensure that your children are properly supervised when not in class and are treating the reception area, toilets and downstairs changing room with respect.
  • No running is allowed inside the building.
  • Children must not enter the Main Hall or Memorial Hall until a teacher or assistant has authorised them to do so.
  • Whilst waiting for classes, please do not leave personal belongings on the floor and do not block doorways and exits for other users of the centre.
  • No chewing gum on the premises.
  • Food is not to be taken into class and only water or still drinks are allowed in class.
  • Please place all rubbish in the bins provided and items for recycling in the recycling box in the reception area.
  • Please park your cars on either the large car park at the back of the centre or in one of the six parking spaces at the front of the church.  Please do not park in front of nearby residents’ houses out of courtesy to the local community.
