Emily Lyon

Emily has been part of The Stage Factory family since the age of four, beginning her journey as a student before progressing to become an assistant teacher and now a teacher at the school. She has been teaching at The Stage Factory for the past two years and currently teaches Ballet and Acro across two evenings each week.

Having grown up dancing at The Stage Factory, Emily has a real passion for helping young dancers develop both their skills and their confidence. No matter which style she is teaching, she loves seeing students grow in confidence, discover what they are capable of and develop a genuine love for dance.

Throughout her years as a performer, Emily has had the opportunity to take part in a variety of exciting experiences, including receiving a Special Commendation at the ISTD Tap Bursary Awards and participating in multiple television filming opportunities.

Emily has gained Associate status through I-PATH in both Ballet and Jazz and is also qualified in Acrobatic Arts Module 1, Aerial and Back Handspring and is also looking to complete her Module 2 in the near future. She is a qualified I-PATH examiner and is passionate about continuing to expand her knowledge and develop her teaching practice. She is currently furthering her professional dance education and exploring additional qualifications, including opportunities with the Royal Academy of Dance.
